FINALLY! LG really could have made this easier, but you can still use just about whatever you want as a ringtone on your LG FUSIC phone. This took about an hour of fiddling to figure out how to make it work, but fortunately for you I wrote this guide so you can be using your very own mp3 as a ringtone in just a few minutes. Here's how it works:

Get the USB driver from Sprint. What you want is the "Sprint PCS Connection Manager for Phone as Modem/USB Cables." The only part you need to check to install are the LG Drivers.
Get BitPim from It doesn't fully support this phone yet but t...

Use that link above to see other ways to do this and people's comments on it.

That worked great. Besides for BitPim being ├╝ber slow in it's upload to the phone the method you linked to worked like a charm.

Thank's man.

Thanks for the review - I still haven't gotten around to trying it myself!

Okay...I tried it, but after waiting a looooooong time for it to load, I couldn't apply the new tone to a specific contact. I only saw a way to make it a general ringer (under "caller ID"). Did you figure out how to do that?

I figured it out - I was just looking under "melodies" and not "my melodies." Duh..

Twisted Evil
this works...
just follow thru the easy steps and you will have mp3 ringtones real quick. the only thing I do recommend is that you have a music editing program {for example : adobe audition or cool edit pro} to lower the bass and add some treble. I lowered the bass 2 pts and raised the volume 1 pt and just made every ringtone 30-40 seconds long by cutting the part I want. The process is quicker to upload to your phone. But this works perfect I just don't know your limit of uploading ringtones. I have 30+ on my phone right now. So if someone knows...LET ME KNOW Cool
