I just received the phone in the mail today. I was pretty excited when I opened the package. The phone is real nice, but the pictures can be a little misleading.
The click-wheel on the outside of the phone is made to look alot nicer in the pictures than it actually is. It is NOT as iPodish as it looks in those pictures, as the wheel is actually "bubbleish" for a better word, and does not perform like the iPod's click-wheel. Its not advertised that it would, but it would have been a cool feature Another upset was that you have to do a special setting on the phone every time you want to connect it to the computer as a USB flash drive, which I can see being very annoying. Also, the advertised "use as a modem" thing is gonna cost you $40 a...

sure sorry bud,
You have stereo bluetooth capabilities for listening to your mp3's..very very few phones have it.(for now)..maybe you want to get rid of that free headset and take a look at the sony-ericsson HBH-DS970 (tessco.com for any accessory! maybe find cheaper elsewhere)anyway headsets are personal preference.
You also have FM stereo interface which,is the only US phone out. (for now) At least one of the things that this does is much like an ipod, it'll play your tunes through a blank fm channel!! how cool is this phone now!!

i don't know if that intrests you but let me know how it goes!!

The A2DP Bluetooth Profile WORKS.. I have the plantronics pulsar 590 headset. I am able to listen to music in STEREO, when a call comes in it pauses the music and I hit a button on the headset to answer. When your done with the call hit that same button to hang up. Now you have to restart the music player, that part stinks if you ask me, it should just start back up, at this point it doesnt however. Now, IF you were using the headset to listen to your bluetooth enable music player and the phone call came in, its the same deal but when you hang up, the music starts right back up, THATS how it should work with the Fusic, its my hope they fix that with a firmware type update but who knows.

eubey.
PLEASE tell me it has regular SMS messaging. My whole reason of upgrading my phone is ditch this damned shortmail crap. I just ASSUMED that all sprint phones have it but I don't see it on it's spec list....AND I ALREADY ORDERED IT! Gaaah...the pretty skin swayed me away from the a920. Thanks dude.

I'm sorry to hear you havent upgraded your old phone in 3 years, Short Mail has been out the door for a long time now. From Christmas 03's lineup until now, every sprint handset has supported mobile originated SMS messaging.

My last phone was a scp 5400 and the 1 year purchase anniversary came up June 1. Meaning I purchased it in summer '05 (from Radio Shack). I do believe I got the ONLY phone type of phone on the planet with short mail.

dang, sorry to hear RS sold you a butt-old phone only a year ago! The last one with shortmail sold in Sprint stores was the horrific Samsung A620 (VGA1000). The store quit selling them a far too late Christmas '04...

Most carriers do not allow memory card stored music to be used as ringers. That would kill their mega million dollar ringtone business.

Taking that, it still doesnt preclude you from just making an AAC file as a ringer (although, this takes a bit of technical know-how) and using one of the free Sprint Uploader services to send it to your handset 🙂

EXACTLY! Now people need to quit being surprised they can't do it so easily. I'm shocked that the reviewer is shocked they can't do it!
