Kinda confused

I got my new SDA, and I have a few questions.

1. Is it better to save contacts on the SIM card, or in the phone?

2. T-Mobile's website says that this phone doesn't support downloads. Am I unable to get ringtones, wallpaper, etc for this phone? I had this same situation with Cingular/ATT and my Nokia 6560.

3. What do you use to clean the screen? Holding the phone against my cheek during a call left it unpleasantly smudged. Are good screen protectors available?

It depends. If you think that somewhere down the road that you will want to get the latest and greatest in technology, then by all means save them to the SIM card, because then you will have to do it all over again, which isn't fun if you dont use outlook express.

Yes, this phones does support downloads. if you have a profile over a tmobile.com it should give you the option to download new things to your phone. And as far as ringtones, the MP3 way is much better, they sound very good, and are much less expensive in my opinion.

Lastly for the screen. If you stop at your local eye glasses or sun glasses store, you can either buy or they might be willing to give you one of the cleaning cloths that they use for the lenses.

Well i hope ...

Thanks so much!

I do have an account on the T-Mobile website, but it says that my phone doesn't support downloads.

If you know good sites for mp3's, I'd be greatful if you would share them. 😁

You cant download anything as far as ringtones or games go, if you register at
my.t-mobile.com you will notice that under the downloads it says your device is not supported for downloads.

I've personally found windows media player the simplest solution. you can buy music from various online stores, or rip music from your own cds. When you use media player to do either, they are automatically added to your library and then you can use the sync function to put them on the phone. make sure you have a memory card for that.

The SDA is my second smartphone and quite frankly I love it. specifically, because I can just use activesync to both put files on the phone and to sync up all the phone numbers and addresses from outlook directly into the phone. When I switched to my SDA from my previous microsoft smartphone, I just setup the new phone with activesync, and it put all my numbers back on the new phone. no trying to pull stuff ...
