Don't delete emails ...

If you delete emails from the SDA -- and then run another Send/Receive -- the deleted emails will be removed from the ISP's server.

Seems that's just the way it works. There is no option to Save Copy On Server.

Note that it is not the deletion on the SDA that deletes it from the server (how could the server know?). It's the subsequent Send/Receive.

Note also that this has nothing to do with whether or not you sync up your Outlook email to the SDA (I don't).

You're completely right. I learned the hard way and spent 3 hours on the phone with T-Mobiles Technical department, they were amazed, said they had no idea it worked like that, and wasn't functioning anything like a Blackberry does (which provides the option to leave the messages on the server or delete them), this option IS NOT available on the SDA, I lost nearly 30 irreplaceable emails this past weekend. I've returned the phone, waiting for my refund on my credit cards and returning to Verizon, who never failed me in 6.5 years, but just didn't have the fun toys T-Mobile offered, guess I was suckered into a pretty face vs. a real solid company!

T-MOBILE...avoid them at ANY COST!

Not to stand up for T-mobile, but this is really an issue with Windows Mobile 5; T-Mobile and the manufacturer of the SDA have nothing to do with it. In other words, the SDA is a mini-computer running Windows Mobile 5.0 that you can get calls on through T-Mobile's network. If the Windows operating system doesn't function they way it should (by deleting emails, and not even having the option to change the preference), you (meaning we, or anyone) should complain to Microsoft, becuase that really is stupid and something that (if enough people complained) they could easily fix.

I check the Microsoft's homepage for Windows Mobile 5.0, and they pawn it off as a "feature" that it deletes email when you re-sync. But they said that it only does...
