Anyone have any idea how to reset the phone to factory settings? Or at least default one section to the defaults? I was monkeying with GPRS and want to reset it to factory.

Why bother resetting it. There is one APN called 'T-Mobile GPRS' pointing at wap.voicestream.com, and that's it. At least that's how mine was like.

OTOH, at first I thought the accompanied CD would have some utility that would allow you to 're-image' the phone, since it's running 'Windows'.

Turn the phone off.
Press and hold two softkeys.
Press power button for 1 to 1.5 seconds, and release. keep holding the two softkeys.

the screen should say 'press '0' to reset to factory default". press 0 and it should reset.

but which two softkeys? on my SPV-C500 there are only two softkeys.

Best of luck.

found these more clear instructions:

You can reset the phone while is off. Press and hold down the 2 external buttons down the screen (start and contacts buttons), and then press for a 1.5 seconds (important) the power button. Release them. If you have done all Ok, you must see a screen telling you to press "0" to reset your phone to factory. If it starts normally repeat the process.

This is the same procedure used in HTC Typhoon models.

Good Luck!

Note that you will lost all your settings / data / etc, except files stored in your memmory card.
