Verizon restrictions!

Basically, I am totally fed-up with the immature morons that continually berate various Verizon cell phones such as this one due to the so-called "Verizon restrictions". My comment to all of these idiots is to "GET A LIFE" and enter the real world. If you don't like these restricyions that Verizon puts on these phones, then switch to another carrier (and live with the other negative consequences), but do not rate these cell phone performances based on this narrow perception of Verizon restrictions (da Verizon restricts all their phones)- rate the cell phones mostly based the basic characteristics it exhibits on the Verizon network amd compare it to the performance of ceel phones on other carrier networks based on basic cell phone primary qua...

Cingular has fewer dropped calls than Verizon, a larger Voice & Data Network, Rollover, International capeabilaties, and they don't restrict Bluetooth or what you use the memory in their handsets on.

first of all, cingular does not have fewer dropped calls, if you watch the commercial it says it was done by a small independent study company, probably in the middle of no where knowing first hand that verizon doesnt have coverage there, its political that scheming that cingular always uses... and if you really wanna get technical, verizon is part of the largest cell phone carrier in the world.... its owned by vodafone..... and also... verizon has international capabilities as well... its called world phones... and the real question is.... if cingular is sooo awesome.... why are you looking at verizon handsets in the first place?! you gotta be an idiot to waste your time surfing the net just to bad mouth a cell phone carrier... complete stu...

Hey dumbass. IF the company is so disreputable and easily discredited, wouldnt VzW address that?

If Cingular were to publish findings from a company saying Cingy is the most awsomest carrier EVER, and Verizon stood by and twiddled their thumbs, how do you think the public (without a carrier bias) would take it? Who cares whether or not its true. VzW's inability to counter with anything even remotely effective tells me something....

Nice ad hominem. Thanks for that. 🙄

Unfortunately, you fit that description more than the person to whom your remark was directed since you clearly haven't done even a modicum of research on this issue. To illustrate my point I have included a link (below) to a Boston Globe article which highlights the fact that Cingular had little or no evidence to support its advertising claim (if you doubt the article's credibility, it also makes mention of the fact that neither VZW nor Sprint have any hard evidence to support their advertising claims either).

To drive this point home to you and make it clear that there is indeed some chicanery going on here, Cingular cited data from a 2004 report compiled by Telephia, but has REFUSED to spe...

Actually, the biggest problem with Cingular is probably not even dropped calls as much as static in the network and bottom dwelling customer service. 🙄 😕 😡 😲

Are you kidding me? Did you copy and paste that from the Cingular website? I deal with Verizon, Sprint/Nextel, Unicel, Alltel in my area and I'll tell you right now I wouldn't take anything other than a Verizon phone out for traveling. Cingular's geographic coverage is absolutely horrible. Who cares if you cover "the highest possible population"...I want a carrier that has geographic coverage where there are no people so I can call for help on the phone...not simply throw the phone at the nearest person in NYC or LA to get their attention. I love it when people come into the store and want to know why their Cingular/At&T/T-mobile phone doesn't work here...GSM coverage sucks in the U.S. if you travel by car. Fewer dropped calls? Yup, because ...
