Which would look much better without the antenna. Verizon's gotta work on that more.

Don't blame Nokia. The phone is really an SK Teletech with the Nokia name slapped on. Although, Nokia has been known for some of the ugliest phones on the planet. It does make you think.

I blame Nokia because they branded it. Just like I'd blame GM if I bought a Chevrolet Equinox and realized it had an engine made in Shanghai, China.

Or, I'd blame myself for buying a GM car I guess. I would take cred for that. I shouldn't compare an SK Teletech handset to a GM car, that's just mean to SK Teletech.

OK so you say YUCK. Have you tried the phone. I am not sure the sliding function would be that comfortable. My cell provider will soon be offering this phone and I was wondering what people that have tried it thought? ๐Ÿคจ

I have tried it I have played with it. The screen is awesome, and it is all in all well built. The highs of the phone are the screen quality and clarity as well it uses the verizon user interface. If you buy it before 7-15-06 you will get a mail in certificate for a $50 visa gift card. Just wait there is many outstanding phones just around the corner from Nokia for Verizon especially after the joint venture between Nokia and Sanyo for the CDMA market.

Nokia doesn't make CDMA phone's it's not worth their time for such a narrow market, they do however name plate other brands.

how can you like the vzw ui? its a piece of crap and it is illogically designed!!!
there is no point in having the same ui on all phones if there is no difference! You might as well buy a crappy samsung.

pssh... i doubt it, especially with verizon's bluetooth tampering.

and their ugly ui , which gets rid of the point of having different phones. the only distinguishable feature will be the camera

As far as Verizon is concerned it is a high point they have been asking for this for a while and Nokia finally gave in. It makes it easier for your typical sales rep in the store to show a prospective customer how to use features.

It's also good for the occassional customer who gets confused easily, but they should at least give you the option of not having the ui. Personally, i think the original menu would look better on samsungs and lgs

Are you kidding me? The Verizon RED interface as a plus?! It's the biggest MINUS of the phone. The Red interface is ugly, intrusive and above all cumbersome and just horrid. I WANT OEM OSs from ORIGINAL MANUFACTURERS OF THE PHONE.

It looks like a variation of the LG MM-535, an old skool design.

The Nokia 6265 is a much nicer phone IMHO.
