I ordered a Q charger from a VZW business rep and I was shipped a V3C charger. The voltage output is not the same as the Q charger so I am worried about using it. Has anyone else been told that any charger will work as long as it fits the Q.

The Q uses the same charger as the Razr.

OK, the charger that came with my V3C has a different model number than the Q charger, it is smaller than the one that came with the Q and it has an out put of 550mA where as the one that came with the Q has an output of 850mA.

They are definitely NOT the same charger.

The question I am addressing is the difference in out put 550mA versus 850mA. I don't want to damage the circuitry in the Q.

Saying it's universal doesn't mean that because it fits you should plug it in.

they are not the same. it wont do any damage and the phone will work while it is plugged in but will not charge. "from personal experience." if you tried a q charger on a razr it will say unauthorized charger.

My wife has a RAZR and I have the Q. We have used each other's phone chargers interchangeably and both phones have charged fine.
