Sorry if it's old news, but it seems like the price will $499 without a contract...

Check under "prizes"

Each Grand Prize winner will receive one (1) Motorola Q phone. Approximate Retail Value (ARV): $499.

That sounds about right seeing as Motorola's retail price is higher than what Verizon charges. Makes no sense but hey, Hillary Clinton is running for president...

Sweepstakes often overvalue their prizes. I wouldn't consider the $499 indication of anything.

Hey this contest ends June 3rd at 11:59PM...so basically June 4th...

Did it occur to anyone that could mean June 4th would then be the release date of the Q?

No way is it only going to be $499. Far too cheap. With the other PDA's running at $400 and $500 for consumers, the retail price isnt going to be that low. I expect it to be $500 for a new customer. Retail price, probably closer to $650

Would you like to place a wager on that? I will definitely take that action.

First of all this is a smartphone, not a pocket pc phone, which means it will definitely be less expensive (the only other smartphone on verizon has been the i600). Secondly, there have been multiple postings even to this forum (one was from the chicago tribune, etc..) that claim it will be 300 w/ a 2 year contract.

I accept the 419.99 price. Since i was expecting a much higher price im loving this. Especially since its only 50 dollars more than the phone i was originally looking at.. 😎
