Motorola Q
VZW smart phones..
VZW EVDO does not work in my neighborhood or at my house. Sprint EVDO does. And I live in NYC (Brooklyn to be specific.)
Cingular is actually on there 3rd smartphone - MPx220, Audiovox 5600, and now 2125.
Sprint is going to have a larger nationwide EVDO network soon and Cingular HSDPA then UMTS is going blow by EVDO - current tested download speed at 3.6Mbps but supposed to be capped at 1.8Mbps.
The Q isn't Verizon's first Microsoft Smartphone. They also carried the Samsung i600.

fyi, I did a speed test on a VZW EVDO aircard and hit 2Mbps. Thought it was a fluke so I did a second test, second time 2.2Mbps. Most of the time I've seen it in the 400-500Kbps range.
To be honest, why do you need super fast connections to a PDA? What are you going to download that is going to be that huge? .4 Mbps speed difference isn't the end of the world.
the only difference between a wm5 smartphone and a wm5 pocket pc is there interface. pocket windows vs whatever interface the manufacture wants to use for their smarphone (ex moto Q is a smartphone and uses its own interface, unlike a treo700 or xv-6700)
I'm fairly sure that the Q will not have a touchscreen. How much of a drawback is that?
THANKS!
