i need a phone that has emial and a good os that i can manage my schedule. im looking at the new BB or the Q. i knwo the q has had a bad rep, but i have read how to fix most of the problems.

i dunno if the bb 8830 is worth the extra $100 since i just dont need the pop email, push is fien by me. but how bad really is the batt life on the Q? i also never had a bb, so im not familiar with their os. and i love the windows os, had the mpx220 and loved it.

anyone else caught inbetween the 8830 and the q like me?

I got my Q last year when it first came out and have gotten three reconditioned ones since! I don't receive my calls...can't make calls without shutting it down and restarting...loss of battery for no reason...messages arriving 24-48 hours after being left...I'm looking at the 8830 as a replacement.

So what phone did you end up with? I'm having trouble deciding between the q and the 8830 as well....

I have a Sprint Q as a second line that works well, so far.

ive used both, and i prefer the jog wheel of the Q, and of the older blackberries, in fact, the track wheel makes me freakin sick.

but, with my q, i did have to charge mine extremly frequently. i mean 2 sometimes 3 times a day. good thing i work at the VZW, and can charge my phone at any time haha

I've had both the q and the 8830, I've also had the treo 700p and the 755p... The best out of all of them is..... the 8830! Now I had the Q and it was just horrible, constant hard and sofe resets, pulling the battery out, losing information... I mean it looked cool though 🙄 , so than I went to the treo hoping for something better and trying out the palm os... well it was better, but i still had to occasionaly do a soft reset, but there were many more programs and a bigger screen which was nice and I did like the touch screen.. Then the new bb came out and I deceided I would give it a try since it had GPS and was GSM capable, It looked like a winner, and I like the pearl ball.. So I got it and forked out the money for the BB service ...
