The Motorola Q Black will be released by Verizon online on 12/12/06. It will be released in stores on 01/12. There are no differences in the two as far as I know; I work for Solectron, which are the technicians for Verizon.

Well honestly I would say not in the near future if at all. The Black Q is being released exclusively for Verizon Wireless so don't expect the Q on Sprint networks for at least 6 months, which is the minimum exclusivity period for Verizon phones

Thats Wrong, our Motorola Rep came in the store and she already has to an Order Place on the Moto Q, she told me it is only going to nbe on Sprints Web.

Sorry, your rep was pulling your leg... Verizon has a renewed 6 month exclusivity but only on the black version of the Q, Sprint users no black Q until June

What do you get for an extra $50 that you don't get with the silver? Besides an update and rubbery feel.

Why does this phone cost $50. more than the silver on a 2 year agreement? That's like me walking into Wal-Mart and paying more for a blue pair of pants than a green pair, same sku#.

I heard it has a updated windows OS. Do a search someone posted a link about 2 weeks ago in the vzw forum (if I remember correctly it was mobiledia)
