Do You HAVE To Have A Data Plan For The Q???
ok, im on the family shared plan with my family. my dad is the primary number, im secondary and we just qualified today for discount upgrade pricing....i upgraded the phone using my visa card, not my dads, and it went through and everything, but it never asked me about a data plan or anything...im wondering, is it not necessary anymore or is it just going to tack itself onto the bill and i dont have to worry about it??? im sort of worried now something wont work...i really wanna get this new phone asap as my old motorola flip phone is on its last legs...prob dosent have more than a week left in its life.....

I purchased the Q and Do NOT have a data plan. I do not know if they automatically put it on if you don't specifically ask. If I were you, I'd call customer service asap!
I do have to say that the Q so far has been a great phone, but I have yet to use any of its pda type functions besides the reminder message which I could have gotten on a regular cell phone. Not sure that I made the right decision...however, coverage /reception has been phenomenal even when the signal strength indicator says it's not.
One problem that I have noticed lately is that when I turn on my bluetooth, it does not recognize it. It is quite a pain to have to go to bluetooth manager and connect it. I do not know why this is happening all of a sudden!
