automatic entry of voice mail password
On my old phone I was able to modify the speed dial on the one key for voice mail to include a "p"after the number to pause then enter my password followed by the # key. This way all you need to do is speed dial voice mail and the password would enter automatically.
Has any one figured out how to modify the speed dial number to include tha password.

I spoke with VZN customer service today and they claim there is no "pause" for speed dial.
When I was at the store buying my Q I recall a customer was talking with the in-store tech trying to figure out how to set a pause and they could not find one.
I'm a little surprised that the password cannot be saved in voice mail. TMO actually has that feature.

This can DEFINITELY be done.
I know - because I did it.
I currently hold down the "1" key, and my voice-mail is dialed, followed by my password, followed by "11" so my first new message automatically plays immediately.
It also works if I click on the voice-mail word on my home screen (if I have any).
Just do this:
Goto "Start-> Settings -> Call Options"
There is a spot there for "voice-mail number"
Change it to:
*86p [your PIN here] #11
(no spaces or brackets of course)
If you have any trouble entering the "p" after the current *86 which is preprogrammed into the phone - just use backspace to delete the entire entry and start again.
I was able to enter it after entering some other numbers, and backspacing over all...

I love this message board. You guys should all work at VZN as most know far more than the customer care agents 🙂
Thanks for the instructions.

I could not find a way to add the pause for voice mail using the #1 button but I was able to store the *86 in a speed dial with my password using the p key for the pause and it works great. 🙂

I sync'd my speed dials to contacts in Outlook and was able to edit the phone number in Outlook, when it sync'd back the 'stuff' was there (*86pxxxx#) where XXXX is my pin number.
