Voice Recognition Question

Just purchased the Q today. In fact, just ported my number from TMO to VZN today.

I'm trying to use the voice recognition feature and having quite a few problems with it. Actually, it hasn't worked at all yet.

I press the VR key, say call then a 10 digit number. It repeats the number and I answer Yes if it is correct. But the system doesn't seem to understand Yes and either will continue to rattle off other numbers or simply flip me back to the start page. The same happens when I try to say a contact name. BTW do I need to say the name Last then First since that is how they appear in the list?

Any suggestions?

Press the VR button and go to settings. Choose #2, sensitivity. Choose to lessen sensitivity one notch. This solved my problem, and hopefully will solve yours!

Thanks. I could say a long name and get it perfect and then it wouldn't hear my YES either. Comical. But it works great for me overall.

Kind of an odd bug in the software I guess. I did what was suggested lowered the sensitivity and that seems to work however I had to go down two notches.

Also - there is a very long delay before the phone will accept the answer to "Yes/no"
I find I say "Yes" before the phone is ready for it. I now have learned to wait an extra 3 seconds before saying "Yes", and it works.

I just discovered that last night as well. It seems odd but I too wait about 3-5 seconds before replying yes-no.
