I get that sound too. It's like clockwork...every 15 mins. I figure its wireless sync checking for email. Every time I get an email, instead of the sound, I get the new email notification music.

Try it by sending yourself an email. However, I dont know how to turn off the sound yet. If anyone knows how to take care it, then pls post here.

I had the same problem until I figured it out (at 3AM since this beeping sound kept me awake).

In the "Settings" program I had enabled "Unread Message Alert" (this is the next to last setting - select "G More..." a couple of times to get there).

If this option is On, then whenever you have any unread mail your phone beeps every 15 minutes.

THANK "MOTO" IVE FOUND YOU PEEPS!

Ive had my Q for two weeks now and for the life of me cannot figure out why it "bleeblorps" at me every 15 minutes. What jflancelot states makes perfect sense so Ive disabled the unread message alert to confirm...so far...with unread email...no beeps.

I was thinking it had more to do with the push functionality so I tried disabling that with no difference. I also thought it might be telling me that it failed to communicate with the Yahoo mail servers I'm downloading from every 15 minutes but telling it never to grab the email on its own didn't seem to make a difference.

I hope Ive come across an answer...now I can sleep well at night knowing that my wife wont be punching me out of a sound sleep wh...

Yes- it's your unread message alert.
It will beep for any unread message until you clear it.

There is a free and good app out there called "Don't Forget" which allows much greater customization of this function.

I began using "Don't Forget" based on a recommendation of another user in this forum.
It allows you to select which type of messages you want to be reminded of (for instance - I wanted reminders for unread text messages, voicemail, and missed calls - but NOT for unread e-mail)

The "Don't Forget" app allows you to select these, as well as certain time intervals that you don't want to be disturbed (ie: at night)
It also allows you to select your own reminder sound, or to use vibration instead of, or in conjunction with a so...

To go back to the home screen quickly press and release the power button or the little button that looks like a house that is to the left of the 5-way nav button.

I too get the sound every 15 minutesd so I started thinking about it and came to the conclusion that it was the result of having "all day" events in the Outlook calendar, you know those one liners you put in Outlook at an unspecified time to remind you of something. If you look at the entry more carefully you will probably find that there is an alarm set at 15 mins that re-occurs until dismissed. That seemed to clear mine up for the most part.
