no, this is running smartphone - think windows mobile 5 lite. no touchscreen, no full applications, etc. but a very cool, small design. should be more than enough for most folks. this should be the best "blackberry killer" yet but probably fall short somewhere.

i hear battery life might be an issue - as it is with every other windows mobile device.

i would wait for the next palm gsm device or the new nokia to come out. my 2 cents. 😉

Should be a good "smartphone" at a great price.

Hey all,

Waiting for the V710 settlement - and giving consideration to these 3 puppies.

Any guesses of timing and US carrier for the Samsung, and carrier for the Nokia.

Thanks!

well being that it's primarily a gsm phone, my bet is tmobile and cingular (cingy likely being the first). Damn thing is rated at 7 hours battery life! Jesus! I wonder if that's realistic though.

all depends upon wut ur using it for. if your gunna be a doing a lot of PDA type stuff and using it for harcore business always on the room i think 700 is ur guy. But like it was said before (i forgot by who sorry) its like 700 lite. A smaller version with less things. So if its more or less just a toy like it will be with me, im gettin this over the 700 and i had the same dilemma u did. Hope this helps.

I agree with your summary. For me, the Treo offered more functionality than the Q. In truth, I also got tired of waiting on the "fluid" release date. For what it is worth, I am very happy with the 700. It is a great product that gives me the level of flexibility/functionality that I was looking for. Of course, the Q, whenever it gets released, will be one sexy phone.
