HELP!!! SIM Card locked?!
I just bought this phone for my lil brother and he was playing with for ten minutes and tried to set a security code on it when the SIM card locked up on him. As soon as he powers it up it says SIM card locked. It does the same when he puts the card back in his old phone. What can he do to fix this?? Thanks.

Does it give you the option to unlock it? If not then you have to get a new sim card

I'm not sure. I was told my brother could just take it to Cingular and they would unlock it.

Sorry to say he fried the SIM card. There is no fix other than buy a new SIM card. 😢

He got it fixed. He took it to the Cingular store and they gave him a new one for free. I was surprised they didn't charge him, but I guess if they want him to keep paying the bill, huh? Thanx, though.
