No Voice Activated Dialing?

I just purchased this phone last night along with a $99 Motostart H700 Bluetooth Handsfree Headset.
I see no mention of voice activated dialing in the users manual. Can this be true? Why would cingular sell such a thing?

I paired the headset with the phone, but to place a call, the headset manual says to tap the call button and speak the name after the tone. Does this mean the headset will not work for outgoing calls if the phone does not have voice activated calling? Did I just spend $99 for a headset that will only work on incoming calls?

Sorry to say the LG CG-300 Has no voice activated dialing. It wasn't something Cingular opted for but because the phone is a push to talk phone LG made the bluetooth feature to work with the push to talk function. With the headset you can press your center button to activate the ptt but as far as regular cell calls you must open your phone and dial, speed dial, or use your contacts to dial out. For in coming calls you must open the open during conversation and close it when your done. I know it's a pain but LG robbed Peter to pay Paul on this one so they gave up the voice dial. 😕
