I consider this phone to be very homophobic.....

Come on people its 2006, not every family has a "mommy" and "daddy" therefor i think its wrong to have a phone with dedicated mommy and daddy buttons.... what if a family with two fathers or two mothers wants to buy this phone? there are no dedicated "daddy" and "papa" keys for these families... thats why i would conisider the LG migo over this... there are dedicated buttons for "parent 1" and "parent 2" as well as two addition buttons...................................... ............................................. ............................................. .. just wanned to point that out.. πŸ˜‰

maybe it wasn't meant for gay families. or they didn't consider people would take effect to that. you can alway store both numbers in the list of available numbers. and verizons migo will be out to shame after the adopt the firefly too. which will be soon. also the migo if i'm correct can only store 4 numbers.

Well in gay relationships you can always tell who gives (daddy) and who recieves (mommy) so i mean all they have to do is tell the kid which is which and voila! you have it figured out!!!

Mom or Dad? Parent 1 or Parent 2? Sweet Jeebus, who cares?

There is no way to designate the perfect number of buttons. Mom & Dad won’t work for Gay and Lesbians. Parent 1 & Parent 2 won’t work for single mothers and fathers. What about tribes where the kid has two moms and a dad? What about Little Orphan Annie?! She has no parents, what will we do for her!

Oh golly-gosh-gumdrops, the world is in turmoil.

Good CALL! I'm actually not prone to responding to these type of messages but I think you're definatly right in what you said here. Not everyone can always be satisfied.. but I also feel it's in the marketing's best interest to think that thru first. how about no symbols at all? just put "1" "2" and so on....

Come on get real man. Mommy and Daddy buttons work in every situation.
With two Dad's, one is always the "bitch"
With two Mom's, one is always the "butch"

Aint that the truth, someone has got to be the pitcher and someone has gotta be the catcher. I cant believe this is even an issue, its a phone for kids doesnt really matter if they have two daddys or mommies.

Although, I believe it could have worked much better if they had just numbered the buttons as 1 and 2, that way they could put different numbers if needed, such as a grandparent for single parent homes--they were just thinking *simplicity* for the child to easily use this phone. Come on now, you can't possibly please everyone. Get over it. It's just a fricken button.

When I worked for SunCom we carried this phone (they have since stopped carrying it) and the mom and dad buttons were something that I brought up and they swore they would be coming out with a keypad with, like, a triangle and a circle or something on it but I never have seen one. Maybe they gave up :-/

😲 How dare they..but wait..doesn't one of the partners have to be the female & one the male? Oh, well, in that case the labeling of the buttons are not the problem here. I've read the other consumer's complaints & they seem more serious. Just making a point, that's all. 🀭
