I concluded some time ago that the Nokia PC Suite for this phone was useless.
I did try what you're trying. And it did not connect over BT/IR/USB.
I think the problem is that the AT codes this phone supports (and all Nokia CDMA phones support) are not the ones that PC Suite wants for connecting to the Internet.
Maybe someone out here has more knowledge on this problem and can correct me.
I have had the 6165i for a few months now. I connect it to the Internet all the time. But I use the Sprint PCS Connection Manager.
