Brew not Java????

I thought Sprint used Java apps, as opposed to Brew????

They do use Java. I haven't the slightest idea why Nokia would include BREW on "some" models and java on other models, unless they are hoping for Verizon to carry this model as well.

Verizon is supposed to be picking it up, as well as metro pcs in late june. Java is the software platform and brew is the wap platform, almost every cdma phone with wap has brew.

That's simply not true. BREW is an application and game platform just like Java. BREW can also handle ringtones, graphics and more, and Verizon makes use of that. On Sprint phones, that sort of thing is simply handled via WAP.

Like most CDMA phones, this model will have Java - and not BREW - on the Sprint version. Vice-versa on the Verizon version.

They do. If you notice, it says "some versions only" next to both Java and BREW in the feature list. The Sprint version will have Java. If other (BREW) carriers pick it up, those versions will have BREW.
