Nokia E70

OK, OK. The new US Version of the Nokia E70 is available at . . . The Nokia Store on Michigan Ave in Chicago. They just got it in on Monday. I was first on their call list, so they called me to let me know. I just got FEDEX email confirmation that my phone shipped and I should receive it tomorrow. I confirmed that the phone is brand new, FCC approved, unlocked, and is the 850 mhz version (which means that, unlike the international version, this one can be used with T-Mobile and Cingular)

NOW HERE'S THE CATCH! . . . you have to purchase the phone in the Nokia Store IN PERSON! Now you may ask, "how does someone who doesn't live in Chicago (like me, I live in Alabama) purchase the phone in person?" Well obviously, you can't. But they will allow you to have someone come in to the store and pay for the phone on your behalf, then the store will ship the phone to you.

Now I am not sure if they allowed this transaction for me because I inquired about it early, or if this is a perfectly normal type of transaction for them. But definitely call them. You can thank me later. Enjoy!
