Nokia E62 / E61
E61 or E62
Hi, new to the site, cingular cust. cant make up my mind on the nokia e61, e62, or the samsung Blackjack. I would like the E61.
1.Does the 3g on E61 acutally work in the usa (SF,CALI).
2 ive read that cingular/nokia will not help set up e61 phone if assistance is needed.
3. can i use cingulars media max bundle pkg for internet coverage or will i need the data connect plan?
4 I plan to purchase e61 on ebay. can anyone suggest a good dealer. ive read great reviews on both phones. Im not very computer savvy, so im a little hesitant to order the E61, afraid i wont be able to set it up properly. but the WiFi and 3g sound so great. both phones have great features.

1. Nope - it uses 2100. US is 850/1900
2. Cingular will help, if not use this tutorial for E62 https://cingular.atgnow.com/cng/tutorials/KB7 0109.html .The only difference is proxy port set to 8080, per tech support's recommendation.
3. I do after I received a written e-mail confirmation from Cingular stating that it is OK
4. I Used "wireless_experts". They were fine, on time, BUT I bought E61 unit made by Nokia Philippines. This model is not part of major firmware upgrade to 2.618.06.05. If I did it again, I would ask who has European versions, but it is not a big deal (after flashing the phone I see no improvements with firmware 2.618.06.05)
5. You will love the battery life on E61. Two to three days of good web browsing & phone use.
