Which is it? Because the unlimited internet for Cingular is $20/month, as long as it's not a PDA.... then it goes up to $35 or $40 or something like that.

Thanks.

I had wondered about this as I just got my E62 on Friday. I called Cingular CS and was assured that I could get the MediaNet unlimited plan ($19.99) and use it with both browsers, including the HTML one. I currently only use POP email from two accounts that I have set up as well.

So I switched to the MediaNet unlimited plan, but still not 100% sure since I've read this topic on two forums, I went into a couple Cingular stores today. In each store, the salesperson also said that the MediaNet unlimited could be used for the internet browsers.

yeah its gonna work
i myself am a Cingular rep and if i sell the phone its a PDA package because
1. i get paid on those feature i put u on and 2.thats how the reps are trained
but
there is a loop hole which u found
u can use it not a problem doing it that way
unlimited is unlimited
and it won't affect u because u are not using UMTS only edge so u should be fine
but
if u tether that device to your laptop more than 2 times a week
they will know
so
if u are just doing casual browsing then u should be fine for the mean time
good luck and enjoy your device
i seem to be getting much better at mine
oh and also
i found an app that is crucial if u are using a case on it
its the Auto Lock app for symbian because thi...

Thanks Licor....

Question though, what exactly is "tethering" to my laptop? The only time my phone is "near" my laptop is to Synch with PC Suite. Otherwise I am confused, I don't think I am doing anything with my laptop/phone together.

basically tethering is what they call it when u use your mobile phone to access the web on your laptop

when u connect to sync thats fine because u have to active the phone as a modem for it to become tethered

otherwise how is your experience with it so far?

I'm enjoying it, but I really miss a camera on the phone. That is the one thing I wish the E62 had.

I still would love to try the 8125 sometime.
