BlackBerry 8700

Once I decided to research all of these blackberries and treos and the Q, etc... I feel like I've been losing my mind! I wanted to upgrade to a PDA/smartphone for a while now. I could really use it for the calendar, organizational help and email (but I don't primarily need email for business, it would just be for personal use). After reading tons of reviews and waiting for the "best" phone to come out (b/c now I'm afraid the minute I get one a new, better one will come out), I still have no idea what to get! I would like to get something with GSM (not that I'm Europe that often, but when I go I would like to be able to use my phone) but, I have Verizon so it's hard to come by.
