I spoke to a service rep just today... she said they got an e-mail yesterday reguarding it... and to keep an eye out for it with-in the next 30 days... she also stated that it could be because, they need to finalize the release for Cingular because they found some TMo dealers sellin unlocked versions and people were trying to use them with Cingular and some crap reguarding the authorization of it... but reps don't always know what they're doing... so don't hold your breath... also it's would seem that since they just suspened sales of the original V3 due to them being defective, i would hope that they start sending out the V3i to replace them... but we'll see.

I went into cingular acouple of times over the last month and to say the people had no clue would be an understatement. The guy yesterday said that he thought they would never put this phone on cingular because of the Slvr.

Now I have seen some stuff about the V3x is what is going to be released in May. I really want the V3i and would much rather buy it from cingular than the unlocked phone on the internet/ebay.

Can anyone back this story up about the email, or get some info that is some what concrete.

Also, I think this site needs to add a V3x page because I sometimes wonder if when talking about this release date people are confusing the phones.

Oh look, the high and mighty luser who thinks every rumor he hears on the itraw3b is the truth and that every rep is an idiot. 🙄 There is no firm release date on the V3i, and I would think that with Cingular's track record on releasing phones, you would know better than to keep going in to retail locations and bothering the representatives with your inane questions about the release date. I'm eagerly awaiting this phone's release, but based on past debacles (6682, Cingular 8125 Pocket PC, Pink RAZR, etc) I no longer bother to even guess a phone's release date. The V3i was originally targeted for release very early in the first quarter. Obviously that didn't happen.

Anyone who tells you they have a firm release date on the phone is l...

Why don't you use spell check before trying to rip on some one in this forum. I am sorry that I expect people to know what they are talking about when the are service reps for a company. I wouldn't consider it bothering them when inquiring about a product that I would like to buy.

I was by a store yesterday so I stopped in to "bug" and "waste the time" of a rep with my "inane" questions and he said they approved the papers, and have a release date...but he could not "divulge that information." Which I thought was sorta ironic that they wouldn't want the consumers to know when they are going to be able to buy this.

I'm sorry that my combination of the words "loser" and "user" was too witty for you to comprehend. That, however, is exactly the category you fall in to. I deal with people like you daily. Hey, if you know so much about everything, quit your job and come do mine. I'm obviously a totally incompetent retard when I tell you something like "The phone is due for release sometime in the first half of this year but we do not have an exact release date yet" because I'm not Joe Messageboarder who feels the need to make up "inside information" to try and get props on the intraw3bs.

I suppose if my life was so totally devoid of purpose I could stoop to that level. Or I could start doing the alternative that so many of my coworkers do with people lik...

I am sure you are good at what you do and are not some of the people I have dealt with. I am sorry that you have picked an industry where being ignorant of what is going on with the future of your product line is not only acceptable it is the standard. Maybe you should expect more from your employer.

My "buddy" was probably some power tripping shrimp who thought that if he pretended to know what is going on he would feel better about working as a retailer in small town USA mall and not having a clue about anything accept what was in his little store.

In total, I took less than 2 minutes time of 3 different reps days in different cities over the last month. Now if they were actually busy with customers, I would feel bad, but these peo...

Latest info I have seen on this phone was by the end of next month!

Of course the data changes all the time becuase production and distribution of phones all take time. Cingular has different areas where availability will come from once recieved. Online is 1, over the phone is another and stores is the last.

No carrier has a release date confirmed that I have ever seen. When I get in tomorrow I will check on the drop date for people to possibily be seeing this phone!

and to settle rumors about the V3x...not going to happen with Cingular from what I have seen!

btw...no prices yet for this phone but I would wait on just getting one straight from cingular then from online places.
