go to ebay and search for - 1GB microSD - you can get them for $80 shipped. I got one for $62 shipped. 1 gigs work fine in my V3i

I thought microSD and Transflash were different form factors. Guess I was thinking miniSD 🤭

Just curious, on the apple site, ...
"To store 25 average-length songs on your phone, you will need 128MB of available flash storage space. To store 50 average-length songs on your phone, you will need 256MB of available flash storage space. To store 100 average-length songs on your phone, you will need 512MB of available flash storage space."

My phone has a limit of 50 songs, in iTunes + on the phone's itunes -> About, it says that to...
Does this mean that if i get a 512 card it will be lifted to 100 songs?

No, the 50 song limit is set within iTunes. The increase in ram will not increase your song limit.

Ok, so Apple set the limit for iTunes. What about those V3i s that don't have iTunes? Is their limit also 50 songs? Or is that determined by the size of the memory card? My V3i came with no iTunes and a 64mb card (thanks, Amazon!). So my limit is about 15 songs at the moment. I'd like to go to 512MB or 1GB (2GB is more than I need!) only if I can go thru the 50 song limit.
TIA,

ray

There is no song limit for the phones without iTunes, because you're using the Motorola music player built in. You are only limited by the storage space.

In fact I think you dont even have the limit on the iTunes-enabled phones if you're playing music using the Motorola player instead of iTunes (I think they have both). But I could be wrong. And I'm sure if I am someone will point it out ;)

It's just that the iTunes music app is so much more intuitive and fast, the motorola one is clunky and slow (although it can be "minimized" to the background which is nice).

I work in a cell phone store, and was having trouble getting any of our V3T's to work with anything higher than a 512mb micro sd card. Im not sure why this is. but tho they are being sold to our company as V3t's recently I have noticed that the serial numbers reflect V3i's.

A 2GB works on mine but takes to long to access and to put stuff on it with my phone so I use a 1GB instead.
