Two versions of V3i, EDGE returns in May

In late March, Cingular will launch the RAZR V3i, with a 1.3 megapixel camera & removable memory. In May, the V3i will be updated to support EDGE.

Well, that's good news, because I will be locked into my T-Mobile contract till December. By the time I am eligible for a new upgrade, this phone will be old news and possibly affordable.. 😁

this is annoying as hell. why do they also list the release date months and months before the actual official release of the product. the've been saying 4th quarter 2005 and according to this post it appears to be the second quarter of 2006. WTF.

I believe that Europe will get the V3i first (see link below). Cingular likes to do "additional testing" that delays the launch in the US.

Because the phone is already available directly through Motorola and also in Europe. That date does not mean when a US carrier will release it. Just when the manufacturer will release it.

It's already been released by Motorola, they are just waiting for carriers to pick it up. But, Dolce and Gabbana (sp?) already have their version of it out and the only thing that is different is that theirs is gold and way too expensive for a motorola phone.

i wonder if it will cost a million dollars. and wont it only be for virgin overseas? because here in america virgin uses sprints network which is cdma and virgin if i am recalling correctly has no moto phones or deal with them in america.

and i am for damn sure there wont be a v3ic since it took a full year for them to create the cdma v3c
