Samsung MM-A900 / SPH-A900 / Ace
The A900M is due in stores 9/3... So what's the difference?
The only thing that I can tell that makes the A900M different is the Customizable themes.
So why is there a new model number?
Couldn't this have been accomplished with a software update?
What if a store tech updated the A900M software into an A900 using ICSS?

I have tried updating the A900 with the A900M software and it doesn't work.
There are more differences then just the themes. Supposedly it has a memory card slot now. It has also been said that it will have some minor cosmetic differences.
We can only wait and see!!!!

That would be awesome if it has a TransFlash card slot. That is the reason I bought the A920, it was a samsung with bluetooth and transflash.

I am sad to say I don't think it will have the card slot. Just themes and it will be able to run Telenav. That sucks!!

You are correct. The a900m will not have a card slot and the only major thing is the themes, which are very nice by the way. The are alos fixing the major bugs with the bluetooth and the many problems that were solved with software updates. The release date i beleive was pushed back to the end of Sept or the beginning of October as well.

It is now available on sprint's website, and through telesales (at least when I called) but none of the stores near here have it yet.

The phone does not support telenav at this time. According to our records, it may support it in the future or in a future software upgrade but the current version does not allow for Telenav. I am disappointed. I did order mine today though, I should have it tomorrow.

toxeduson, please report here that you can still go to the technical menu by doing the following: Menu->Settings->Display, then press 0 (that's zero), then 040793 as the Field Service code. Please report what options are available on the A900M. My A900 has 10 options:
1 - Debug screen
2 - Test Calls
3 - CDMA Only
4 - Errors
5 - Clr Errors
6 - Data Scrn
7 - HDR/1X Select
8 - RC Data
9 - Toggle NAI
0 - Toggle DOTM

If you you don't have a A900 or A900M, this means nothing to you. It is the service menu for this phone which is accessed via a service code.

Menu->Settings->Display, then press 0 (that's zero), then 040793 as the Field Service code.
