im so sick of the camera making a noise whenever i take pictures. wheres the option to silent it? even when in silent mode it makes the loud shutter sound. i was in a very nice museum and i went to sneak a picture out and i had to run cuz the noise was so loud that everyone was lookin at me.

The only thing that I found out you can really do is change the shutter noise. When you are in camera mode press the top left button (the folder icon) go down to setting (7) and then choose setup (2)

You can then change the shutter sound. Shutter5 seems to be the less noisy of them all.

u can change the ring volume to 1 and this lowers the sound, but does not mute it.

You can turn the sound off if you flash the phone to the d820 firmware. Check out my other post in the message list titled "THE REAL REASON THIS PHONE WAS DROPPED!!" This is one of the major benifits of flashing but I forgot to include it.
