SGH-D82 firmware

Does anybody know where to get the firmware that switches the SGH-T809 to the SGH-D820?

can i use the usb cable that came in the box?

You can't use a usb. You need to use a serial cable to flash this phone.

ok thanks. i just bought the flash cable of ebay from phantom gsm. whats the 9v battery connector there for? oh and when burning the iso on a cd i should make it a boot cd right? that way it will start right away? thanks for all the help.

goto ebay and search phantomgsm. it should pull up a hole bunch of cables. then find the one for t809. make sure you get a serial and not usb.

hi again. when i flash the phone it stop right around the end. i let it sit for about 3 hours and the status bar didn't move. am i doing something wrong?

I have a question on this... when you flash the phone and it erases the IMEI number, can you get it back? just don't want to screw up my phone. :-)

from my understanding as of right now no you can't. i was chatting with a guy who went from t809 to d820 back to t809 software and his imei was still blank.

cool thanks.. how complicated is this process? i don't have much cell phone tech experience. I'd like to upgrade though... I need pretty detailed instructions.

well at the start of this thread or the second message i can't remember there is a link to a forum that will show you how to flash. instructions are great. and there are a hole bunch of replies to like every question you have.
