names dont come up in texts or when people call.
i text often and when i get text messages all it does is show the number and not the name of the contact and i definatly dont memorize many numbers. also when people call it doesnt say their names (and theyre in my phone book)
do they need the area codes?? (because i dont have area codes on any of them)

Yes, you do need to store the area code to have the caller ID work properly. It doesn't matter where you store the number, to the phone or sim, that doesn't affect caller ID. Samsung phones, to my knowledge, never show the name of the person when you receive a text...

She is correct about the area codes being needed for caller ID but I have owned 3 previous samsung phones and all of them show the name of the person when you text (including this phone). I've had this happen to me once, I just exited out of the inbox then went back in and it displayed the name like it should. not sure why that happened tho.
