Sorry if this is too late...
I am trading the MDA for a Samsung. The MDA has a horrible battery life and many mobile users complain about an eco and a tunnel affect (i dont hear either). I like the ring (sounds like a payphone) and the web browser is excellent. I get good reception in the house and buildings except for the mentioned problems. Takes good pics too. The touch screen is a good feature and I like the voice dialing. My main problem is the batery and the poor quality of the phone during calls. The active sync doesn't seem to accomplish very much (compared to a treo). Other than that, I am going to a seperate PDA and hoping the Samsung is a good phone.

3. Opera mini will NOT work on the T809 as T-Mobile has disabled this, amongst other things. The only way (as of now) to be able to add applications to the phone is to flash your phone with D820 firmware. Then opera mini works just fine 😉

I bought a "Samsung D820" from eBay source in the USA because I wanted to use the answering machine function of the D820 in a country in Africa. Unfortunately the one I have do not have the answering machine function although the manual I downloaded says it has. Any advise is highly appreciated (Firmware or softawre,etc..).
