download ring tones? MP3s??
I just talked to Verizon and they said that the Treo 700W is not capable of acquiring ringtones from GET IT NOW. They said that I could use MP3's.
My question is , How do I do that? Can I use ITUNES???

can you use itunes? im not sure what that means. but if you put mp3s on a memory card, and put it in the phone, you can then put the mp3 into the 'rings' folder and it will be recognized as a ringtone.

it is not safe to assume that, if you download an mp3 from itunes, you will be able to use it on ANY device other than the computer you bought it on. this is because of the RIAA. jk, but there are an increasing number of copyright-protected files on itunes, as well as the other "legitamate" online music sources, ie napster, rhapsody, etc. mp3 files from these sources may, or may not, work. with that being said, once you have downloaded an mp3 file, you just need to get it on your memory card.
the easiest way to do this is to get a memory card reader that plugs into your computer via USB. (if your computer has a built-in card reader, thats even better) then you can simply copy the mp3 and paste it onto your card. once on the card, place ...
