700w as wireless modem w data plan
I have read a number of posts that pretty much go back to January on this topic. I am looking at purchasing a smartphone/pda. Either the 700w or the 6700. The Q does not meet my "want to have" list . I see that the 6700 can be a notebook modem right of the box and the 700w would require additional software.
1) Since it's been 5+ months since this topic was discussed can it be done with todays model and software version?
2) Can the 700w be used as a modem right of the box?

First off, it is a violation of Verizon Policy to access broadband internet from your phone.. If you read the disclaimer, you pretty much can't do anything with the phone... Even when you are paying $45.00/month ...

Other than the USB cable that came with your phone to plug into your computer, or possibly the Bluetooth connection you've set up via Activesync with your computer, the only thing you need is PDANet. And that's it, quite simple.
In fact, PDANet itself is so easy and simple to use, you can be up and running in a matter of minutes, if not seconds!

Is there any way for Verizon to find out you are using PdaNet? And also, if they do catch you, what would they most likely do? I'm guessing it would be considered a breach of contract?
