I work with this device everyday and have noticed alot of false information going on here. Professor has come to STOP that and will take over in assisting ahrd working people who have spent so much money to purchase this luxurious device from the Nations number Wireless data service provider Verizon Wireless (a.k.a) VZW.

I will visit this site twice a day to assit with all Verizon Wireless Mobile Devices

Feel free to ask me any questions... remember the only stupid question is the one you do not ask. ......Mobile Professor.

I'vr tried 2 different BT headsetsa w/ the treo 700 and all I'm getting static out of both of them. The Plantronics voyager 510 and the scala 500. Initially the plantronics one worked but them came the static. Any recommendations or ways to fix the issue would be greatly appreciated.

Voice activation is in the program menu. You can set it as a shortcut on the side button in the settings menu.

As far as VCast, the Treo does not have VCast on it.

Start menu - Settings. Make sure you are on the personal tab and voice activation will be there.

I have had the Treo 700 for a week now and I love the phone but I am very disappointed to learn about it's limitations with the Blutooth headsets (not being able to do voice command from the headset). My questions are; 1) is a fix out there or coming soon? and 2) Is there a better phone than the Treo for all that it does PLUS complete bluetooth compatability?
Thanks.

When are they going to offer this without a camera? There is a very large demand for it. If you have an influence or contact with the VZW or Treo marketing and developing teams, I strongly erge you to make sure they are aware of this demand.

Okay MobileProfessor........I can't get an answer from anyone else on the forum. How much faster is VZW's EV-DO broadband than Cingular's EDGE broadband. They both claim to be the fastest, but I can't find any information that backs it up. I'm trying to decide on the 650 or maybe wait for the 700p with CNG, or just go straight to the 700w with VZW. Thanks for your help.

Alright, I have a question that appears to require expert guidance. I have a Moto H605 BT headset. It pairs with the Treo and works just fine, until I turn it or the phone off. If I turn either off, I have to delete the partnership and re-pair the headset with my Treo. Very annoying. Any ideas as to how I might be able to correct this? Also, I know that the H605 is not on the approved Palm list.

Thanks in advance.

I have been studying the boards and reviews about the 700w and am more than a little concerned about all the compalaints I'm reading about the 700w. It sounds like users are having to reset their phones regularly (sometime 2-4 times per day) which sounds totally unacceptable to me.

This phone purchase will be for my wife who runs a successful home based business, has two young kids and is a stay at home mom. Her primary uses of the phone will be (in order) phone, email, PDA. We have 10 months left on a two year verizon phone agreement but want to upgrade to the phone and data service. We need to stay with verizon because of coverage issues.

Originally I liked the blackberry but recent litigation and the reports of poor phone functi...

Unless you are truley in love with Windows Mobile- go with the 650. I have all three (Treo700W, XV6700, and Treo650)and it is the most convienient for business use. WM really requires third party software to make it work (Memaid, or Resco registr) and is a pain in the butt, unless you are a geek and think it's neat to constantly monitor memory usage, etc. 😉
