Ringer Volume

When my Treo receives a call and the ringer starts, I have trouble hearing it. While it's ringing, I hit the volume UP and it sounds fine, then I answer the phone. But after I hangup and then I receive another call, the volume (PDA .. not phone) is reset back to where it was.

Doesn't do much good if you have to turn it up to hear it ringing each time (when you don't know it's rining). The ringer WORKS ok, just hard to hear, partially because what I see to be a design flaw in that the speaker is on the back of the phone, and when it's laying on the desk, it's covered up.

Suggestions??

I have the 650 so I am not too sure about the 700W. Have you went into your options and set the ringer volume from there? When the phone is ringing or you are talking on it and make changes to the volume you may have to press the side keys or another key to confirm your change and make it stay that way until you change it again. This two step procedure prevents you from turning your ringer volume down accidentally while carrying the phone in your pocket or storing it some where else. 🙄

Thought I'd done everything, but maybe not.

Bottom line is that over the weekend, it suddenly settled into the right spot. Could be I accidentally hit the right combination.

THanks.
