If the 6700 is the right phone for you. Do you use a lot of web surfing ? The 6700 has pocket Internet Explorer... Combine it with the EvDO connection from SPRINT (or Verizon) and you can get burst speeds of upto 2Mb on the downlink (on EvDO Rev 0).
Please note that this is a Windows based product. So you will have to reset it every so often. Also note that one of the biggest differences between windows and palm is that PALM will only allow one program to run at any one time. With windows, you can run multiple programs. Plus, when you close an application on the 6700, you are actually minimzing it and NOT closing it. So pretty soon, you have a ton of applications open and not enough RAM to work with 🙂 This can be easily solved thanks to se...

I just got it 6 days ago. Camera, video, endless 3rd party programs, internet explorer, word, excel, etc..... The only things that make me think about the 15 day rule are the constant freezing and the low internal memory. If those things didn't exist, then this phone would be perfect. I am mature enough to know that NO PHONE will be pefect (I've had at least 10 or so), but this is the best phone on the entire CDMA roster. If I can escape and go to Sprint, I surely will get this phone (it's hella cheaper with them than with Verizon, anyway)!

Make sure you get MagicButton so you can close the apps instead of just minimizing them. I rarely have freeze-ups. I also got MemMaid so I can clear out the cache every once in a while.....I am with Verizon and I have read that the Sprint phones do have some issues....However, there is endless support on this and other forums.

also...when you install programs, install to your storage card unless it is under 100kb. This will free up a lot of memory on the device.

Oh yes. Make sure you get the firmware upgrade if you go with SPRINT. Your ROM version should be 2.06.00 WWE / ExtROM Ver should be 2.06.03.WWE.
This upgrade was initally released (by SPRINT) to stop the never ending AIRPLANE MODE - where the phone would, at random, turn the radio off and be just a PDA. The upgrade also added voice dialing and a few extra bells and whistles...

If you just rcvd your phone, chances are they did the upgrade prior to putting it on the shelf 🙂
