so i want to buy the UTStarcom PPC-6700 BUT I need to understand something

1. If I use wifi in my home does this use the wireless minutes on my plan?

2. If so do I have to download any software to make VOIP phonecalls using the wifi system.

3. Does this require any hacks or is it something the phone is set up to do?
