Lost phone calls during sync?

I am currently in Cingular and considering a change. One question, when using the 6700 (or Q or BB) - what happens if you get a call while doing an email sync (or any other data)? On Cingular the call will get through, does it get through on Verizon?
Thanks!

Hi ! Well, it all depends on how you are connected to the data network. On SPRINT (or Verizon - they both use the same technology : CDMA for voice and EvDO for high speed data), IF you are connected to an EvDO network, you will still receive your voice call while on a data session. The simplest explanation is that you have two seperate connections to your phone - the voice (CDMA) and data (EvDO). However, this phone is capable of stepping down to 3G mode if it cannot find an EvDO connection and it needs to initiate a data session.

3G is the "slower" data connection you will find on earlier generation phones. In which case, your incoming calls will roll over to VoiceMail.

Hope thing helps 🙂
