I am looking at the treo 700W. I only want this for convenience of having a pda AND cell phone in one so that I don't have to carry two devices.

Which is better? SHould I wait for the 6700 to come out on Verizon or just go ahead with the 700? Anyone know when the 6700 is coming out and also what the price will be with Verizon??

If you are already familiar with a PocketPC and like using one, then you'll love the 6700. The Treo is nice from what I have heard but can't do what the 6700 can. Also, the 6700 has been offered by Verizon for some time now....I've had mine for a while (I'm with Verizon) and I love it.

There are pros and cons to both....the biggest con for the Treo is that it is about 500.00...However, the 6700 is about 300.00.

Agreed on that post. $300 for a better product sounds good to me. Also includes WIFI and runs a little smoother on 5.0!

Larger screen too.

You better put some superglue on your stylus and then after that you will still need to buy and extra pack of them or two. Other than that, I loved the device when I had it. Much better than the Treo 700W solely because it works as a phone more than 50% of the time. Treo has the poorest reception of any PDA I have ever seen.

I agree. I left my Q for a Treo and the quality of reception decreased. I'm getting a 6700 in a couple days. I sure hope It's better.

So far, the 6700 is much better in every way.

...That's why i said "so far". The vx6700 froze, froze, and froze again! Thankfully, after that, and 3 bad Q's all in a 3 week period, Verizon gave me a Treo 700w. I do the same thing, if not more, on the 700w and it RARELY freezes. It only freezes when I access a MySpace page that's too big (as stated in a different forum, people {including myself} shouldn't try to access pages that are way too big and get mad at the phone). The ram is slightly less on a 700w, but the overall memory is more. Either phone you get, still get a memory card (stores like Fry's Elecronics & Circuit city are the best to get them from {don't get em' from the company you have, they'll rape you!}). The 6700 does have wi-fi and a 2 mp camera and nice video, as well as...

Not exactly sure what happened to your phone but not everyone that has a 6700 has the freezing issue you have said....Not only that I know that the 700W has less memory than the 6700 and also has freezing issues. No phone is perfect but the 6700 is as near as I think that we'll get. IMO

The 700w has more internal memory, but less ram memory. They seem preety even, other than that.
