OK kids here's the site to download the .exe:

http://rapidshare.de/files/15615935/APAC_SPCS_20600_ ... »

and here's the URL to read all about it:

http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthread.php?t= ... »

Many thanks must go to pdaphonehome.com forum contributors "tbhausen" for the heads up notification of the upgrade and "UPdownLoAD" for making available the all important download of the file itself.

Enjoy...

The ROM update is easy to install and it works great. However, you do have to sync to get all of your info back on it and re-install applications. Having a device unlock prevents the autodialing of people!

I have my PPC 6700 syncing as items arrive on the corporate Exchange server and it works great.

Haven't used the voicemail tag but it is supposed to work with applicatons besides autodialing.

PLEASE BE ADVISED, SPRINT REPS ARE TELL PPL NOT TO DOWNLOAD THE NEW 6700 UPDATE. THERE ARE GLITCHES, AND ALSO IF NOT DONE 100% CORRECTLY YOUR 6700 WILL BE BRICKED. MEANING ITS AS GOOD AS A BRICK CAUSE IT WILL NOT EVEN TURN ON.

This is great!!! Just one question, there is supposed to be a new time sync thing installed, that I think allows you to have push emai. Do you know how to make it work. My email should come straight to my 6700 as soon as someone sends one, but it's not working. please help.

Time sync has nothing to do with sending email to your phone. If your email is on a Microsoft Exchange Server, you can enable Direct Push (or something like that). When you set up ActiveSync to get your email, make sure you're syncing with the exchange server (the external address of the exchange server, at that) not with Outlook.
