Does anyone know how to set up Remote desktop on the 6700? Or a program that needs to be downloaded in order to do this?

Log Me In is the best free remote control software I have used. Works like Go to My PC, but Logmein has a FREE version. You can setup the Logmein service on multiple PCs and view all of them from your XV6700 PPC. Go to http://www.logmein.com on your home PC, select the free version, install and set it up (takes less than 5 mintues). Then on your 6700 PPC, go to logmein.com, sign in and control your PC.

ITs sweet!

VNC is also another nice remote tool, but its not secure and you need a static IP or an IP from DYNDNS.org.

Do you know the encryption of hand of Log Me In? I currently use Remote Desktop on my laptop to log in to my computer at work. I was hoping that since this phone is Windows based it would have the app already in stalled.

Not sure of the exact encryption but it is highly secure over https. As for Remote Desktop, that is extremey unsecure (unless you are doing so within an encrypted VPN tunnel). Remote Desktop is easy to hack and uses a standard port number known to all hackers. Remote Desktop or VNC is only half good if your tunnel is secure.

Not true at all. Yes the RDP port is known (3389). So is HTTPS (443). That doesn't make it any less secure or any easier to hack.

I've run RDP open to the Internet on servers for years. There have been no hacks, I assure you. I've even looked at the network traffic using tools like Ethereal. It's encrypted, it's safe, and for Phoneguy21, it's already built into both the phone and all current versions of Windows.

I've tried it from the phone. It gives you a 320x240 window into a 640x480 desktop and five icons you can click to bounce around between the four corners and the center. If you know what you are looking for, it works fine. The most iritating feature is trying to click on something on a large, expanding start menu that ...

www.orb.com lets you stream all the video, music, pics you have on your PC.

They have a beta add-on for browsers that lets you access all your pc files, but it's not available for phones or pda's yet. I'm sure it will be compatible soon so keep an eye on the site. Read about it here: http://forums.orb.com/community/viewtopic.php ?t=1715
