Bluetooth Handsfree problem.

Having possible problems with the Jabra BT250v headset and this phone. When dialing via voice tag, the phone/headset connection is dropped after the tag is recognized and the phone begins dialing the number. If I go to the menu on the call progress page I can select Turn Handsfree on for that call, however, it still happens 1 in 4 calls, in both busy and "quiet" 2.4Ghz areas. Has anybody else had a problem like this?

Yeah..., I got one response to a similar question

Haven't found and real answers yet. Looks like a bug.

The best answer Cingular has come up with is
"reset the phone". I made a deal with them..., if they
do a fresh install of their corporate IT center..., I'll reset
the phone. They sorta turn a deaf ear to the fact that
the phones are incredibly stateful these days..., you
don't just "reset them".

Good luck!

I experience the same issues with my 2125 and the Jabra BT250v. I've just learned to keep my eye on the display and watch for the headphone icon to disappear. If it does, you can quickly hit the top right button and turn Hands-On back on...but it's a PITA!

Another quirk I see a lot of is the icons across the top of the display that show you what the last apps were that you used seem to get out of sync. The apps themselves are in the correct order, but the icons shuffle so it's like playing a game to see what app you get...wait, maybe that's a feature? :-)

I'm having another problem with this pair. My bt250v is inconsistent when it comes to the mic. I can always hear through the headset, but the other party can usually never hear me. AND, sometimes when I try voice dial it works all fine and dandy; usually it doesn't work (like it doesn't pick up any audio). Many times I've repaired my 2125 and bt250v; pairs correctly using either of the two methods (I know I want hands free), but the headset only works when it wants to.

I think I've found a pattern. If the phone keys are locked (press and hold "End") and you voice dial via a BT headset, the phone is still in "headset" mode, but the call is put through using the handset. Tapping the headset's button or selecting "turn handsfree on" from the phone's menu sends the call to the headset, but the call should have been in the headset in the first place. If the phone is unlocked, the above procedure for voice dialing typically works the way it should. This is NOT the way it should be designed, though. Calls initiated through a paired headset should use the headset for the call, not the handset. *sigh* Just a bit of a bug, if you asked me ;-)
