What is going to make anyone buy this ugly phone? Not only is the phone ugly but it has nothing that Samsung x497 or LG 1500 has. The v180 was such a failure with customers that I promise to never sell this phone. Unless someone gives me a reason to...

The phone will have Media Net Live Ticker. So you can sell the customer an unlimited data plan. More $$ in your pocket. And c-net rated the V180 as the best basic cell phone. I agree the 180 wasn't the best phone.

"What is going to make anyone buy this ugly phone?"

The ability to actually hear the person you're talking with perhaps? 😉

This modest model has one of the cleanest, clearest, crispest sound quality for a cell phone I ever encountered regardless of price tag, and that is why I chose it to replace the much fancier ones my user group had previously been issued with.

The V190 is aimed at the business market where bang for the buck is a paramount criteria. It may not be able to shoot pics, use GPS to allow you to navigate from the washroom to your office desk without getting lost or make you invisible but it has all the basic features the business user is looking for in an appliance whose purpose is to allow employees to communi...

The reasons to buy this phone are simple,

1) 4 band GSM, so it's as global a phone as you are going to find.
2) No camera, so you don't have to turn it in to security every time you enter a corporate client with a design facility and/or sensitive documents.

There are very few phones available that meet these two criteria. The few that are just don't measure up in quality and design (like the V18😎.

I purchased this phone six years ago and I do not recommend the phone to anyone. During the short time I had this phone, I had nothing but problems with it. I would put the phone in my pocket or my purse and the ringer volume button would get bumped and switch to silent and I would miss calls as a result. The phone also used to reboot by itself from time-to-time and the call quality was not that great. All in all, the phone was a dud.
