Re: Why would anyone buy this?
The ability to actually hear the person you're talking with perhaps?
This modest model has one of the cleanest, clearest, crispest sound quality for a cell phone I ever encountered regardless of price tag, and that is why I chose it to replace the much fancier ones my user group had previously been issued with.
The V190 is aimed at the business market where bang for the buck is a paramount criteria. It may not be able to shoot pics, use GPS to allow you to navigate from the washroom to your office desk without getting lost or make you invisible but it has all the basic features the business user is looking for in an appliance whose purpose is to allow employees to communicate, not to distract them with esoteric gimmicks that take months to master. For some reason these gadgets always seem to make the costlier phones sound like those flimsy GI Joe walkie-talkies I played with 30-odd years ago. In comparison the V190 sounds almost as good as land-lines.
