The battery life on the A900 is HORRIBLE unfortunately... Too small of a battery for CDMA. If you have to have a phone that thin, go GSM, but it sounds like you are smart enough to go with CDMA so the A920 is a good way to go! Plus you get the memory card slot with the A920 for the same price. A no-brainer for me.

Spoke to the tech man at my Sprint store for his recommendations and he suggested the 920 by far due to several unresolved "issues" with the 900, plus the memory card expansion capability. Was told by tech and sales to stay away from the 940 due its camera swivel's tendency to break.

HAHA well put VR6Yetta, this isnt a BLOG website, useful information is a lot more help full. Now to what this is meant for... The phone its self has the features and looks to be a top selling phone, my question is, is the reception going to be good or is it going to be another phone packed with features but ridden with problems? I have heard good things about the samsung "blade" but still have yet to receive one in my store. Hopefully this phone will have the same positive feedback. Anyone have any ideas?

What problems? Everyone on SU is pretty much liking this phone. I only got to play with it while I was waiting to buy my a900 but I liked it a lot. In fact if I didn't like the a900 so much I would have gotten the 920.

I'm torn between the 900 and the 920. I only use the phone for a phone and reading email when I'm away from a computer (yahoo web based).

I want a flip phone with bluetooth so its down to these two. Any suggestions?

Just goes on preference mainly. The a900 supports FTP file transfer but I heard people have been having problems with this. The a920 has a trans flash card so no need for FTP. The a900 is the slim design and a920 is more traditional with the cool speakers on the side. The a900 has a QVGA screen which I love the 920 doesn't. They both have evdo so speed isn't an issue. Take it from there and find out which one you like best.

I've got the 900 and I bought my wife and the daughter 920 each.
In my opinion, 900 looks and feels like boy's toy and 920 looks and feels(not much because it's heavy) like girl's toy.
Most of their functions are basically same.

Don't flame me because, this is just an opinion. 😉 🤣

Wonderful use of forum space.

This phone looks compact, which is a real plus considering it's an EVDO phone. I'm surprised Sprint allowed OBEX on this phone.

???? I assume you meant the LG-VX8100, or were you referring to the Samsung SCH-A950? The latter would make more sense since there basically the same phone + or - a few features.

You heard correctly. The A920 has several features that are not on the A950. The UI, the A920 supports pictbridge, speech-to-text and voice messaging, totally unlocked bluetooth, and you can play video on the outer LCD with the flip closed.
