my coworker doesn't like to trust what i think and doesn't believe that this phone is only digital and won't roam in analog areas. can anyone confirm that this phone will not roam in Analog. i told him that it only works on the CDMA 850, and CDMA 1900. not the AMPS 850.

please get back as soon as possible, lunch is riding on this one!

thanks in advance guys and girlz

The MM-A920 (also known as the SPH-A920) runs on Sprint's dual-band CDMA (800 / 1900) network. Unfortunately this means there's no analog support, but with most of the nation blanketed in Sprint's digital network, analog is a thing of the past. This phone does not support analog.

Be thankful people you don't own an analog or a TDMA handset. Starting sometime in September, Cingular Wireless will charge their customers who have an analog and/or TDMA handset $4.99/month as a nice way of saying migrate to GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTS/HDSPA.
