Creating and uploading ringtones for Samsung A920 (A method really that works?)

I understand that we are all busy people these days, but I need for someone to explain the process for creating and uploading ringtones to the Samsung A920 without using their own personal shortcuts. I have been browsing forums for a few weeks and I have found helpful information, but I am still not able to assign a custom ringer. Here is what I have done. (By the way, I have no trouble uploading and assigning a .qcp file as a ringer, using http://sprintusers.com/focus)

I just found a program called mp3 splitter and joiner and it lets take a section out of an mp3 song u want as your ringer, then(u dont have 2) i caonvert it to aac using itunes, then upload it using rumkin. And it works ok 4 me.

Try taking the .mp4 file on your computer and renaming the extension to .m4a (mynewtone.m4a)

Windows will whine about changing the extension but do it anyway. Then use the uploader to get it to your phone. That is what I had to do and it worked fine. Let us know if it works. B
