i recently signed up with a MDA today and i only signed up with just a phone service plan WITHOUT any unlimited data internet plan option. lets say if i try surfing the internet with my MDA, am i automatically getting charged with any data fees like cingular chargers 10 cents to kilobyte?? im trying not to pay for any internet fees since i am relying on the MDA wifi.

One choice you have is to sign up for up to x mb per month free for a fixed cash amount like $4. Otherwise I am unclear, but without any data service I bet the MB fees will be gigantic if you wifi. Don't wifi until clear on the contract terms.

WIFI is free....there are such things as tmo hot spots that you can pay a fee for. if you get on inet not thru wifi, then you are charged per kb. You can call CS and tell them to shut off web svcs so that you cant accidentally get online.
